Hastings Youth Academy CCC #2008-02484 / DJJ IG #08-0102: Complaint My son stated he was sexually assulted by a staff member at hasting youth academy. He was transferred to Crestview detention center to attend a court appearance in Okaloosa county. When he arrived he informed the intake worker he had been assulted. Then he was allowed to contact the abuse hotline. The Okaloosa county sheriffs department came out and took the report from my son, at that time, he did identify to the officer the staff member who did this to him and what happened. He now has been place in the just program at another location. It is my understanding that children and familes services have been notified and are investigating this. It is also my understanding there is an internal investigation going on. [Click here to read original message] Correspondence From:
