Complaint

1. Supervisors are refusing kids from making abuse calls to keep the numbers down, and questioning staff, why?, when they allow youth to make abuse calls.
2. When calling in sick, supervisors ask tons of question that should be restricted under HIPAA. They will try to force you to come in by threats of changing your shift or termination.
3. Major Gargett acts as a bully instead of a superintendent, with his size and aggressive behavior, can intimidate staff.
4. Capt. Kelly tries to pass old policies and procedures on to counter you if you know the updated and current policies and procedures when you challenge the supervisors wrong doing.
5. Capt. Searls is a flirt when it comes to the prettier female staff.

Who are watching the supervisor in the detention centers these days? I ask the question, because at Manatee Regional Juvenile Detention Center, the supervisors do there own thing when it come to policies and procedures. For instance if you want to call in sick you better have a doctors notice the next day or you or you will be subject of to many call-ins and will have your shift changed or be asked to resign for not being able to meet facility needs. And if you call in, you have to call in two hours before your shift starts and talk to the that shift supervisor, then within an hour after your assigned shift starts, and talk to the supervisor. So if the shift starts at 0630am., your call-in have to be before 0430am., and they will ask tons of question that should be restricted under the HIPPA act. They will try to force you to come in by threats of changing your shift or termination. What kind of fairness is this, I wonder is other facilities is using this procedures? Supervisors are also refusing kids from making abuse calls to keep the numbers down, and questioning staff, why?, when they allow youth to make abuse calls, even when their intentions are good. Also, Major Gargett acts as a bully instead of a superintendent, with his size and aggressive behavior, can intimidate staff. Capt. Kelly tries to pass old policies and procedures on to counter you if you know the updated and current policies and procedures when you challenge the supervisors wrong doing. Capt. Searls is a flirt when it comes to the prettier female staff. This facility is in need of an investigation through I.G. bad, its a lot of cover ups and wrong doings when it come staff fairness, I even heard some can't even get other jobs because Major Gargett slenderized them, so they want be hired on to other jobs.
