The head of a Pembroke Pines youth camp for delinquent boys is facing drunken driving and other charges after he allegedly hit and injured another motorist earlier this month and then drove off without rendering aid.

Duane L. Evans, administrator of the Thompson Academy, was charged by the Broward Sheriff's Office Feb. 7 with driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving, speeding, and fleeing the scene of an accident. He was released on bail.
